The HAI by Leviton Home Theater Extender 2 (HTX2) lets users control their home theater equipment from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch using the free iOS app, HTX2. Users can create custom remote control pages for controlling their home theater equipment, using graphical images or provided templates. The completed design is then uploaded to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. When using HAI by Leviton HTX2 app or Snap- Link Mobile for iPhone app, each audio/video device or remote control will appear in the room that is being controlled by the user. Easily set lighting, adjust temperatures, and control all home theater equipment from this single application with the appropriate equipment. HAI by Levitons customizable app sends commands to the HTX2, which in turn controls A/V equipment using its serial ports, IR ports, and relays. The HTX2 includes four IR flashers (emitters) that attach to the IR receiver of any A/V equipment you wish to control. The I/O ports on the HTX2 are used for power sensing on devices without discrete on/off IR commands. Relay ports on the HTX2 can be used to control any device that requires a contact closure, such as motorized screens or blinds. Expansion is easy, as there is no limit to the number of HTX2 devices that can be used in an installation. This is the perfect solution for people who are tired of walking around the house each night just to power down their A/V equipment, or as a single-room automation solution for home theaters, or even in sports bars!
